Two engineers, a garage, and the stubbornness not to give up
CORIAL makes food that works — so no one has to live on pills just to feel good.
It all starts in a garage
Guilherme and Sara met at university, both studying Food Engineering. More than classmates, they found in each other the same ambition and the same drive to build something that would positively impact the way people eat.
In 2016, in a garage at home, they began their first projects around alternative proteins — determined to create something no one else was doing here yet.
Against all odds, they made it to the shelves
In 2021 they founded the startup and, against all odds, made it into Portugal's biggest retailers — Continente and Auchan. Those were years of many wins and even more challenges, until they were able to grow and build the team that makes CORIAL happen today.
The question that changed everything
In early 2026, they looked at their own routine and realized they were doing what so many people do: a protein shake in the morning, collagen in the afternoon, creatine before training, a multivitamin at night.
"What if the real problem isn't just protein — but the fact that we're compensating with capsules for what food itself no longer gives us?"
They realized the mission was bigger than a single ingredient. And that the answer had to grow too.
