What are CORIAL Bug Bites?

Crunchy snacks made with dehydrated insect — house cricket (Acheta domesticus) or mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) — seasoned with spices and olive oil. Available in 6 flavours, divided into two lines: Crickets and Mealworms.

Is it safe to eat insects?

Yes. Insect consumption is authorised in the European Union under the Novel Foods Regulation (Reg. 2015/2283). Both the house cricket and Tenebrio molitor have been evaluated and approved by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).

Where does the protein come from?

Directly from the insect. Bug Bites contain between 22g and 55g of protein per 100g depending on flavor. Insect protein is complete—it contains all essential amino acids.

What's the difference between Crickets and Mealworms?

Crickets (Acheta domesticus) have a firmer texture and more intense flavor. Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are milder and more neutral. Nutritionally, both are protein-rich—Crickets tend to have more protein, Mealworms more fiber.

Can I be allergic?

Yes, it's possible. Consumers with known allergies to shellfish, mollusks, and dust mites may be allergic to insects. Always check the allergen list for each product.

Do they have olive oil?

Yes. All savory Bug Bites are prepared with olive oil—not refined vegetable oils.
